Fall Media Fellowship!

Get experience and support in media and creative work at an amazing urban Indigenous women led land trust! 

Join Sogorea Te’ Land Trust this Fall and produce a creative project while learning about storytelling, documentation, design, event production, social media work and more on the ground with our creative team.

We are looking for active and engaged  Bay Area based artists, familiar with urban Indigenous issues and communities. Experience in social media, visual arts, cultural arts,  and other creative expressions welcome! 

Black and Indigenous people, California Native People, Youth, Queer, Trans, and Two-Spirit people encouraged to apply!   

Overview

  • September 15- December 15 
  • 15 hours a week
  • In person with some hours remote 
  • $4,000 Stipend
  • $350 materials fund 

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly creative team meetings
  • Attend workshops and skillshares
  • Visit land sites and support in land work, projects and documentation
    • (transportation/ ability to travel to various sites across the East Bay needed)
  • Generate creative work in various mediums 
  • Get and give feedback on creative work 
  • Contribute to social media
  • Support event planning and implementation 
  • Support tabling and distributing materials
  • Lead a creative project related to rematriation
