Our work is made possible by the strength and leadership of Indigenous women and culture keepers, and we are also supported by many allies and accomplices of all different backgrounds engaging with the vision of Rematriation.

We are really just beginning to learn how to navigate what it means to acknowledge the history of the land we are on, and build meaningful relationships. As we move towards transforming our relationships to the land we are on, here are some tips for how to engage with our work!

Indigenous Land Return Announcement by Movement Generation x Sogorea Te’
“Returning land to Indigenous care is healing for us and healing for the land,” says Corrina Gould

Today, MG and STLT announced that they have partnered to return 43 acres of land to Indigenous care, in the unceded Bay Miwok territory of the San Francisco East Bay Area. Together, they have liberated the land from the speculative real estate market, and put the land back into the hands of Indigenous people. The organizations have created long-term agreements together for care of the land and look forward to working collectively to bring Movement Generation’s visions for the land to life!
