Sogorea Te’ Land Trust was honored to work with artist Cece Carpio through the Center for Cultlural Power’s Constellations Fellowship. as our resident muralist for 18 months.
We worked together to vision and create Indigenous place making markers to uplift Indigenous land and Indigenous peoples presence, visibly re-Indigenizing urban landscapes in new ways through murals and installations.
Each piece offers part of the story of this land, uplifted with additional resources and media, becoming a talking point, a visual teaching aid, an opportunity for community reflection.
