New Video Resource!

Steps to Land Back: The Return of Rinihmu Pulteʻirekne explores how land rematriation and the founding of the Sogorea Te Land Trust have created opportunities for strategic partnerships, particularly benefiting Native Peoples whose ancestral lands exist in urban settings. The film also features Brendan Moriarity from the City of Oakland, presenting a real-world example of urban land return and its mutual benefits for both Native and non-Native communities. It highlights how the Land Back movement creates cultural revitalization, healing, and increased Native visibility, while emphasizing the environmental and communal benefits of Indigenous stewardship and our collective responsibility to future generations

Featuring members of Sogorea Te’ Land Trust and Lisjan Nation. Created by Happy Valley Film Company Produced by Redbud Resource Group Made Possible by the Indian Land Tenure Foundation.
